What I learned about traveling so far…
It’s always best to travel with the locals, so make friends, and visit them!
Be hyper vigilent about your purse, passport, and important belongings…however, stress less about the direction you are going, eventually you will find your destination, and it’s about the journey anyway, so enjoy the sights and lock them in your memory!
Have a good camera, with extra memory cards, because you will most likely run out of space.
Have a water bottle, because traveling makes you extra dehydrated.
Get maps from train stations, or airports when you arrive at your destination.
Ask people questions, don’t be afraid, Europeans are used to backpackers and tourists.
Read about the history, and the culture of the places you go!
Do make a plan of what you want to do, and the places you wanna see, because they don’t just appear from wandering aimlessly.
Have good walking shoes, your feet will get tired, I promise.
Save as much money as possible, and pack light. Trust me you will need more money then you think you will.
Bring a kindle and an iphone…they are great inventions!
Bring a towel if your staying in hostels.
Have a Tumi with you, so you can use american electrical device, and plug them into the outlet in different countries. (In case you don’t know, there are different type of plugs for different European countries)
Mmmmm…that’s all I can think of off the top of my head!
