Dinner club of Arcos part 2
Our dinner club is official! We have stared a dinner club closed facebook group, and have collectively decided to do bi weekly dinners! Last night was our second dinner club of the year. It was great to keep up our recipe standards with a variety of dishes from all the ladies! Chelsea made a caramelized onion Quiche with an excellent crust, Nur made baked potatoes with cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, and pine nuts, Kate made salad with pan-fried grilled chicken, Kaela made fried potatoes with salt and pepper to taste, Cece made baked pasta ziti with ground beef, and I made churros with chocolate dipping sauce for dessert! All the dished were a success, and it was great to taste home cooked food. The fried potatoes were so good with Heinz Ketchup!! I have been missing ketchup here in Spain, because at most restaurants they don’t serve ketchup with potatoes. For the month of December I am already drooling over peanut butter chocolate balls that I want to make for our dinner club xmas party! I have been craving peanut butter, which is also not a common food item in Spain, therefore it can be expensive. 😦 It’s so fun to cook and actually successfully execute a great recipe! I hope throughout the year to add to my collection of dishes I can cook! Spain has great produce, and cheap food, which makes for a killer combination to sharpen my domestic cooking skills!
